CENTRE FOR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING

About Centre

The Centre for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) was established in 2017 as an initiative of Future Tech RIT to address the growing demand for Industry 4.0 professionals, particularly in 3D printing, additive manufacturing, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies. The centre was inaugurated by Dr. E. Bhaskaran, Deputy Director, Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute, Chennai.

CAM provides a state-of-the-art learning and research environment that enables students and industry professionals to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing technologies. The centre focuses on innovative research, product development, and industry-oriented training to develop skilled, industry-ready engineers. Through strategic collaborations with industries and academic institutions, CAM bridges the gap between academic learning and industrial requirements.

Objectives of the Centre

  • To conduct academic and professional programmes aligned with specific industrial needs and applications.
  • To promote research and development in advanced manufacturing and related engineering fields.
  • To establish and strengthen strategic partnerships with industries.
  • To develop highly skilled professionals in multidisciplinary areas of manufacturing engineering.
  • To encourage innovation, product development, and practical learning in emerging manufacturing technologies.
